We hope this year has brought you plenty of joy and prosperity.
On behalf of the Board of Trustees, I humbly ask that you consider supporting our mission again this year. Nestled along the Blind Brook Estuary in Rye, New York, the Bird Homestead & Meeting House Conservancy is more than a collection of historic properties—it’s a gateway to discovery. These sites, home to generations of the enigmatic Bird family and early 19th Century black entrepreneur William Voris, offer a rare opportunity to delve into history, science, and art while preserving these vital legacies.
Our mission is simple yet profound: to inspire curiosity and foster learning through hands-on experiences. With your help, we are transforming these properties into a vibrant center for education, where life sciences, children’s literature, art, and sustainability take center stage. Our programs are designed to connect our community with the legacies of
the past while inspiring future generations. This work is made possible by individuals like you. As a 100% volunteer driven organization (501c3), every dollar you donate goes directly to preserving these historic treasures and expanding our programs and is fully tax deductible.
Your support helps fund archaeological digs, restore buildings, maintain the grounds, and host free educational events, ensuring these stories continue to inspire. In 2025, we will unveil our 50-year plan: providing a long-term vision for the properties, including their historical significance and substantial contributions to the future of our community. Together, we can make a lasting impact. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today.

Warm regards,
Aaron Griffiths, President
