William Voris Archaeological Dig

Please join us as we continue our archaeological dig into the life of William Voris and his family. William Voris was an African-American entrepreneur who owned a home on the property starting in 1840 (before the Civil War). This is the third phase of our attempt to uncover black history right here in Rye. We are looking to identify and mark the foundations of his home, as well as uncover artifacts that will help us better understand Mr. Voris' life here. 

All ages are welcome. Children 14 and under must be supervised by a parent or guardian.
